Dang it, Lea. here I was already to move into a seniors condo and be a sedate old woman,👵 and you got me going on the glitter. ✨ I wish I could come over and we could dress up too.

Now I'm going to have get some more sparkles in my life. 😄

I have been using something called lipoflavanoid which lowers the volume of the tinnitus. It's all natural. Something to consider. :)

Well, Flonase takes a month or more to start really working by shrinking inflamed mucous membranes. I used it for years for bad allergies. Also had fluid in my left ear along with the tinnunitis and noise/hearing loss in both ears the past 8 weeks. The fluid dried up on it's own but not the hearing issues (which may or may not resolve). My SIL was prescribed one hearing aid for bad tinnunitis and it worked! Not sure the reasoning behind it, but the ENT prescribed it. She's much happier these days. I've tuned a lot of the noise out lately, TG, but some days seem worse than others. Like ugly overcast rainy days, for example. No clue why.

Don't discount your health issues bc mine are "worse". They all suck, they all hurt, they all cause grief. Ty for the prayers and let's ask that God hear ALL of them, amen.

Lea, thanks for asking. That I've been on your mind with all you are enduring is flattering.

My doc appt. went okay. My DH came in with me yesterday thinking that maybe if he were there my doc would be more attentive. Sad if that would make a difference but there ya go. But honestly I don't think it made any diff.

Doc said he'd put in another request for an MRI but there is a central booking place for the whole city and once you are on the list I don't think there is anything to make it go faster. Sad but true.

I also have been suffering from tinnitus the last three weeks and it's been driving me mad. Pulsatile tinnitus. That's when the tinnitus goes in time with your pulse. It can mean something serious but my doc doesn't believe in my case I need to worry cause I don't have any of the risk factors for that. He checked my ears and said there is fluid there so he prescribed me a nasal spray called fluticasone. I've got an appt. with an ENT doc. Not till June though. So I hope this spray does something.

I wish I could say I've got an MRI scheduled but no......still I wait, and wait and wait. And limp and limp and limp.

But Lea, again thx for even asking. Like I've said before, my problems are minor in comparison to yours. Still praying for you.

Hats and scarves - and gloves ala Gentlemen prefer Blondes - and evening bags and...glitter and sparkle!!!! Earrings - mini chandeliers!!!!. Large rings - love 'em! Knuckledusters!!!

When I was young and returning to Canada from England by boat it was the style for a proper young woman to wear an outfit, including hat and gloves on the day you landed. I LOVE big hats, When I was a poor student in Montreal I almost bought an amazing hat for about $200. In those days that was a lot of money. It was a navy straw and the brim swooped about 1/2 way down my back. In Montreal you could buy "clothes". I had a pair of 4" heel Italian leather red shoes. They were so comfortable I walked all over in them.

Once a few years ago, we went to an Elvis type show in Edmonton and I wore a sequined top. The cast went romping through the audience at one point and "Elvis" came and gave me a kiss and breathed into my ear that he had to come and see who was wearing the sequins lol

Later that week we went to another "Elvis" show. We like a table right by the stage, That "Elvis" pegged me for a little interaction too. Two Elvises in one week Wow. Got me heart beating, I'll tell you!

What you wrote reminded me of dressing up as gypsies as a kids. We had a trunk with all kinds of things in it and we decked ourselves out in skirts and petticoats and peasant blouses and strings and strings of necklaces. It sure would be fun to do that again but with sparkles and sequins as properly befits us older ladies lol. And how about fishnet stockings!!!

All this reminds me I have a dark blue long sleeved sheath lace dress with sequins all over. It's fairly subtle but the sparkle is there. I bought it to go the the dinner theatre and then covid happened. When this move is over we will go and I will wear it and think of you.

Hi Lealonnie: Just found two dimes in my washing machine after doing laundry a few minutes ago. Shiny, bright and sparkly - just like you.

I truly believe they were there for you. Sending love and prayers.

Golden, "I quite like sequins. I think it’s the drag queen in me". – Sienna Miller

God I love me some sequins. Before all this chaos hit me and chuck and i were doing 10 estate sales a week, we hit one downtown in the home of a pretty famous local drag queen who had a sewing station in his basement where he had TONS of sequins and threads and baubles for his costumes he sewed by hand. I had fun picking thru all that flash along with some fab rings he had for $5 ea. I chose a sterling and clear crystal faceted stone LARGE one that I love. I wish you could come over and we'd get all dressed up in glitter and jewels and scarves and hats and carry fancy gold evening bags to complete the look. Then you could take home all of it. That would make me smile. Maybe you'd have somewhere to go where you could get all decked out and send me photos. I could live vicariously through you 😁

Cx, he also counts by doubles up to one million by memory! He's on the autism spectrum and a genius in math and music! It's amazing to interact w him, and listen to HIM read ME a chapter book.

Gross? No way! Guilty pleasures, *maybe*, but in no way gross! Sounds like a pretty good way to pass the time and keep your mind occupied (unfocused? Maybe that's a better term?). I hope you have a wonderful time with your chocolate covered fruit and your shows!!

And in regards to your grandson, that is really amazing! I will wager that half the adults who use the term "google" have no idea it means more than just the name of a search engine, never mind a 6 year old! Good for you guys!

Have a great night!!

Nge, when we stopped at my grandsons house yesterday, they'd gone to Costco for canned chicken for us ( love chicken salad) and wound up buying choc covered raisins and blueberries that I will (over) eat while watching nasty pops on tv! Gross huh? 🤣😂Can't prolly sneak junk food in or find schlock tv on in the hospital so I'm ok waiting. Last time all I could get was game shows, no 90Day Fiance the Other Way ( has Debbie lost her mind moving to Morocco and btw Danielle, Johann is a prick in spite of how good he may be in the sack.....theres still 23 hrs left in the day to deal w his brand of B.S. ) and to Nicole with the Egyptian infant crybaby Mahmoud, COME ON NOW! GO HOME ALREADY G/F before I slap you upside your head! 😑 Sigh. I wont even mention Love After Lockup which I was so entertained and flabbergasted to find, I went back and binge watched the entire first 2 seasons! 🤣😃😂

And while at a conference w his parents and the staff in school, a teacher said "Google" so my 6 yo grandson proceeded to draw on the blackboard a 1 with 100 zeroes after it which = a google. They were all speechless.

Well, poop. I'm sorry you are going to be delayed for a couple of days, Lea. Hopefully they can get you a bed on Friday, get that infusion therapy started and start to improve over the weekend.

Nhwm, what shes taught me? Saying "I don't know what is wrong with you" is way more common with doctors than we patients realize.

Gershun, how'd the doc appt go yesterday? You've been on my mind.

Lea,

Hahaha 🤣, enjoy Dr. Pimple Popper!

Pecan I honestly thought your pm was a joke about knowing someone unvaxxed to air flight in their plasma for my IVIG treatment. 😂 I'm in good hands at UC Health and feel confident with however their neurologist and oncologist want to proceed. My situation is certainly no life or death matter warranting (or expecting) such action to be undertaken.

Ty NHWM, send and cxmoody. I've waited this long, I'm ok waiting a little longer. Plus bad tv is on tonight yassssssss 🤣😃 DrPimple Popper has a beaut of a cyst to drain, I hear.

A little glitter and glam for this week:

Don’t let the insecurities of others dull your sparkle.
Too glam to give a damn.

Lea,

I want to read your review of the bracelet that you tried. I know that you wouldn’t leave out the part about returning it because it did nothing at all.

I hope you feel better soon.

Ty Geaton. Good to know.

Hope, Sea Bands address nausea specifically which is not a real issue for me. Plus, it's imperative those metal buttons stay pressed right up in between the tendons on the wrist at a certain spot at all times, which in unrealistic imo. It's also unrealistic for me to think any device I order online is going to give me relief after 8 weeks of being THIS sick, who am I kidding?
(9)
Report

Lea, sorry to hear about the bracelet results - I was hoping something like the Sea Bands - which press against and focus on acupressure points could have provided some relief for you. If you google Acupressure used for vertigo, it states, "Acupressure can be very effective in numerous ways; one of those ways includes reducing vertigo symptoms naturally by stimulating specific pressure points."

Probably acupuncture may also have its benefits - there's been clinical studies done on this too.

You've come such a long way since first diagnosed ...I hope you continue to make great improvements and advances forward!

Hi Lea! Aren't those anti-vertigo bracelets for using to avoid sea sickness? Apparently, they will not work on terra firma. Book a cruise immediately, then try it out! ; ) Happy to be of service with suggestions. LOL, I just crack myself up! (note to commenters: this is a joke)
